I have walked every step from Longtown to Patterdale, and am honoured to represent Penrith and The Border in Westminster. I believe that the countryside, and this region in particular, represent Britain at its best. I am a committed representative who can defend the landscape and food-production and move the economy forward again. It also needs someone who can listen to your concerns and take decisive action to resolve them.
“Penrith and The Border is the largest constituency in England in terms of acreage. With an electorate of around 67,000, it is also one of the most sparsely populated… Completely encircling the seat of Carlisle and stretching from just short of Gretna Green in the north to the Yorkshire Dales in the south… Lakes, forests and fells combine to offer some of the country’s most beautiful scenery and tourism is a major industry.” BBC News
